A Festival Look from Beyond Retro

Even though the weather doesn't seem to have accepted it, summer is on the way.

Sadly I haven't got any holidays booked yet but I have got a festival to look forward to. I'm going to Reading in August and I'm already beginning to look out for cool stuff to take with me.

I always think that festivals are the perfect time to let go of your style inhibitions and be a little more daring. You also want to stand out from the crowd a bit; it's bad enough seeing your Topshop dress on three other people on a night out, let alone a couple of hundred in a field with thousands of other people!

Vintage is surely the way to go for festival dressing to ensure that your look is unique.

If you're not lucky enough to have a good variety of vintage shops close by, there a few companies who have seriously upped their game online. Beyond Retro is one of them!

I've put together what I'd consider to be the perfect festival outfit below.

Jacket // Bralet // Shorts // Belt // Bag

Jacket, £30

Okay so this jacket is amazing. As someone who has recently bought two vintage shellsuit tops recently, a loud sporty jacket is definitely a new obsession of mine. This one is a bit nicer though, being silky rather than tacky sportswear! I love the bold colours and the Versace-esque print- seriously perfect.

Shorts, £24

I like these stonewash denim shorts as they're a bit different to the usual ass-skimming fare. Did anyone see the ASOS mag feature recently out where they styled up some longer leg denim shorts? These reminded me of those. Got to love a bit of stonewash too.

Bralet, £22

It doesn't get much cooler than a leather bralet, surely? This black top works perfectly to offset the loud jacket.

Belt, £16

I always find belts so boring unless they're picked up thrifting or from a vintage shop- I can't honestly remember the last time I bought a new one. BR have loads of wicked 80s belts with lovely gold hardware like this one, mmm.

Bag, £22

I'm a big fan of the bumbag for festivals but loved this little rucksack. It's real leather and is sure to add 90s cool to anything.

What do you think of these items together?

Let me know if you've come across any great vintage sites recently.
