Thigh High Boots and a Spring Knit

Hello!
A quick outfit post from a recent chilly spring day.

Black fedora hat - Primark
Gold chain - charity shop
Gold digital watch - Casio
Leather & suede backpack - Oasis
Grey fine knitted long cardigan - Shelikes*
Black cut-out shoulder dress- Motel
Thigh high chunky boots - Public Desire

I always find this time of year the most difficult in terms of deciding what to wear. Once February hits, I always want to buy tons of new spring clothes - problem is, it's so cold at the moment that I can't even contemplate wearing most of the new season arrivals outside!

I've been wearing this oversize fine knit cardigan from shelikes.com all the time recently. It's perfect just to throw on as an extra layer when it gets a bit chilly.

My new thigh high boots are great for keeping my legs a little warmer too. I've seen loads of over-the-knee styles around recently and these ones are so comfy due to the platform and chunky heel, plus they stay up well thanks to the elastic panel in the side - I've seen quite a few bloggers find that some of these boots go baggy around the top and fall down.

What are you wearing most at the moment during this period of unpredictable weather?

Valentine's Jewellery at Argento

Hello!

I'm sure it hasn't slipped anyone's mind that Valentine's Day is fast-approaching (not that I go crazy with it myself or anything!). Jewellery is always a winner as a Valentine's present but I think it can be hard to find somewhere that sells a great mixture of brands at reasonable prices; other than maybe Argos - though you won't score any points for buying us Elizabeth Duke, boys!

Step forward, Argento Jewellery; a site I've recently been introduced to. As well as selling big brands like Thomas Sabo, Pandora and Links of London, they also have a great range of lesser-known designers to discover.

Argento recently sent me a blogger 'Valentine's Box' which was really sweet and has introduced me to my new favourite affordable jewellery brand, August Woods.

In my blogger box, I got a selfie stick (how did I live life without one before?), some tanning mousse by Vita Liberata and the necklace below by August Woods.

Rose Gold Flower Necklace by August Woods

The necklace is actually probably a little too feminine for my tastes (not really one for flowery jewellery), however there are some amazing August Woods pieces on the Argento site, which is an exclusive brand. In particular, I love these Gold and Silver Rope Hoop Earrings and this amazing Ruby Red Druzy Stone Necklace, which is only £5 in their sale! The brand seems to have an abundance of lovely rose gold jewellery too, like my necklace above.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I've picked out my top four gift ideas for the big day. I am completely in love with the Olivia Burton watch, anyone buying?

As you can see above, Argento have their own brand which I feel is incredible value. There's loads of vintage-inspired jewellery featuring coloured stones in the range.

If you've seen anything you like in my picks as a present for someone else or just a gift for yourself, there's currently an offer online to receive a free heart bracelet when you spend over £50.

You can also get an exclusive 20% discount by using LOVE20 at the checkout!

Are you hoping to receive some jewellery this Valentine's Day? Which is your favourite piece above?

Manchester Meets Las Vegas: DivasGlamVegas!

Hello!

Last week I attended a very glamorous event, allowing me the chance to get properly dressed up (for once).

The event, which was held at the ultra-glam Milton Club in Manchester, celebrated everything Las Vegas; complete with a roulette table, indulgent cocktails, a photobooth and even our very own Britney Spears!

Me left: Necklace - Vivienne Westwood

The #DivasGlamVegas event was hosted by Thomas Cook Airlines who really knew how to look after us. The Milton Club was a perfect venue for a Vegas theme as it's so opulent inside (and they can make a great cocktail, which is of utmost importance in my book).

There was such a feel good vibe and I really enjoyed trying my hand at roulette (which I was shocking at!) and messing about in the photobooth with Fikki and Lola from Pastime Bliss and the lovely Frances at Frances Cassandra, as evidenced above!

There were also some great mini makeovers on offer like ombre lips and sparkly eyelashes - the perfect finishing touch to our diva looks. I was actually a little apprehensive about wearing my dress as it's pretty over-the-top compared with my usual uniform of ripped jeans and trainers; though it was great to see that everyone else seemed to have gone all out for the Vegas spectacular.

I would absolutely love to visit Las Vegas myself. I'm sorry to say that I've never travelled further than Europe - I would love to see more of the world but struggle to get enough funds together for a big trip away. I was pleased to hear that Vegas is a little more within reach as this event was to mark the introduction of affordable return flights to Vegas from Manchester Airport, as well as a handful of other airports, which start from as little as £549.

Thomas Cook have put together a great mini website full of tips and ideas for things to do and see in the city, especially for us chicks! Get the low down, here.

Have you been, or would like to go to Las Vegas?
